    Hi
There are so many benefits to drinking herbal teas that mainstream seems to miss. I think people sorta view herbal tea sort of like discount supplements, but they are really great for everything from weight loss to relaxation.

I think the best tea for weight loss that I’ve found is the Oolong tea. It’s a light tea, and a real metabolism booster. I enjoy sipping my Oolong tea all day and it really helps with my own weight loss goals.

Another favorite for weight loss is Rooibos because it seems to diminish my food cravings in general.

    Thanks

We’ve been using peppermint tea for years to help with tummy issues. It’s easy to grow and dry, everyone should have a mint plant! I just didn’t realize that it can also help with weight loss.

You’ve picked out some great teas here! I need to go and order a few to have on hand. Do you have any brands that you recommend?

Also, what amount of tea should I drink and when is the best time to drink it? I would think in the morning and evening would be the best time. For the most benefit, should I be drinking a cup every two hours? Or is one or two cups a day enough?

I guess I am mostly interested in boosting my metabolism and curbing hunger.

    Thanks!

      Hi KMV,

I like a brand called Heavenly Tea that I by on Amazon. They make loose leaf teas that are organic and most of them are Kosher as well. Drinking 2-3 cups per day is the suggested amount to drink for weight loss.

Your article is very informative. I love to drink green tea and honey lemon juice. I haven’t tried drinking lemon juice with green tea though. Sounds like I should try this flavor. I’m used to drinking teas in tea bags. Is there any difference in health benefits between drinking with tea bags and tea leaves? Which is better for weight loss?

    1. admin says:

      Hi rmjia,

Both forms are beneficial for weight loss, but loose tea leaves tend to maintain a higher level of nutrients due to how it is cut and processed.
